MARY AND MARTHA

In carrying out the Lord's work
There are many things to do;
How we all long to be Mary,
But we must be Martha, too.

Mary loves to worship God,
As she meditates and sings,
But Martha plays the organ,
And sees to many things.

Poor Martha was not chided
For working with all her might,
Because her priorities were wrong
Jesus had to put her right.

In every Christian there should be
Some of Mary and Martha, too,
Just think! if there were no Martha
Whatever would Mary do?
