TAMWORTH
Tamworth is the Queen of the north,
Her beauty is sheer delight.
She nestles in the ranges,
Tamworth, the city of light.
With green pastures and prime cattle,
Violent storms and sunsets, bright,
Tamworth is rich in commerce. too,
Tamworth, the city of light.
Tamworth, too, is beautiful
When seen on a moonless night,
She sparkles like precious jewels,
Tamworth, the city of light.
In this city of beauty and action
People sin and our Saviour, slight,
Men and women still live in darkness, in
Tamworth, the city of light.
Christians, pray for this beautiful city,
Pray often, with all your might,
Tell many of Jesus, Light of the World in
Tamworth, the city of light.
Pray that there will be a revival,
A turning from wrong to the right,
Pray that the city will truly become
Tamworth, the city of light.
