Three Wishes

I wish I had a golden voice
To praise my Lord and King.
I wish that I could keep in tune,
How I wish that I could sing.

I wish I had a silvern laugh
Low and sweet and mellow.
And not the hearty noisy roar
That comes out like a bellow.

I wish I could play music
On the organ or on strings
And hold an audience captive
With the pleasure music brings.

But in my heart, there is a song
And sweet laughter in my soul
And music floods my being
Since Jesus made me whole.
